Community Cape

S earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.

S completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, S was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

A park, a mission, a scan

Camden Report written by Elizabeth

This morning, 7 GoodGymmers met to volunteer at Finsbury parkrun, including brand new recruit, Sarah, who's signed up to her first group run in Islington this Monday. Woot! 🎉

Five of us were on marshal duty. Abi's distinguishing event of the day was to have an old school friend stop mid-run for a chat after randomly recognising her. At Beth's station, a cone went missing at an unknowable time (she was obviously very focused on the runners): it turned up on our walk back to the finish line, blatantly chewed. I can only assume that that a dog has bad memories of wearing a dog cone, and has since exacted vengeance on any potentially related family members.

Steve and Bea were signed up to barcode scanning. Having never barcode scanned before, I can only hope that there was a noticeable beep to ping out a tune for throwing robot shapes as they worked.

Post-run, I skipped off to the cinema, so can't confirm or deny whether the others indulged in a post-parkrun breakfast. Regardless, I'm sure if people ate together, then they enjoyed it 👍🏻
