Chipping in to break up the day

Merton Report written by Jade

What began as an impromptu plan to break up the day turned into a very productive session as seven GoodGymers arrived to transform a corner of the park. Working alongside the Friends of Morden Park, the team made light work of a once-neglected area by clearing stubborn brambles and laying a fresh woodchip path. It was a fantastic example of how we can help with a community space. There's plenty more to do so we will be back but the Friends meet every Wednesday at 10.30am and would welcome extra hands - so feel free to get in touch if you want to get this session listed more regularly.

Robert has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.

Taking the sleigh Raynes

Merton Report written by Jade

It was a fantastic turnout in Raynes Park as we supported the Dylan Strong Foundation with an extra Santa Sleigh collection tonight. The evening kicked off with huge crowds eager to see the big man himself, and while it took a little time to work through all the photo requests, the festive energy was high. Once we got moving, we hit the streets to knock on doors and shake buckets, meeting plenty of generous residents along the way. It was a lovely mild evening, and we thoroughly enjoyed playing Santa’s little helpers.
