As per tradition, we have booked an area in a pub for after The Big Half again this year. Whether you have run, volunteered or spectated, please do pop along for a drink and a chat afterwards - everyone is welcome!
The pub of choice is a GG Greenwich favourite - The Cutty Sark. Tables are booked from 12:15 onwards (under the name Jenny). Hopefully see lots of you there!
Please note the tables will be outside, so do bring a couple of extra layers if the weather looks a bit iffy!
Also please register for this event as soon as you can if you're going to come along so that we can ensure we've booked for the right number of people.
The Vitality Big Half is a half marathon in London that follows a 13.1-mile closed-road course, starting by Tower Bridge and finishing at Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The 2021 event will take place on Sunday 22nd August.
Feel free to register for for this event if you will be taking part so that we know who to look out for and cheer on!
Well done to everyone participating in the #BigButterflyCount - this is such a crucial study that feeds into biodiversity, wild life, environment and climate change research!
Very well said by Kimberley:
"It made me remember just how much nature has been affected by pesticides and environmental changes. When i was younger you did not have to spot the butterflies and there were many varieties in London and now they are few and far between. Luckily I was out of London and spotted quite a few."
Hope everyone enjoyed their 15min in nature:)
