The hayfever was RAGING this evening but we are STRONG!!
This evening we headed back to OXSRAD, but this time for an outside task. As part of their general spruce up, attention has now turned to the garden and access paths. The wheelchair access paths were getting quite overgrown and picnic tables in the community garden needed sanding ready for repainting.
Armed with shovels, trowels, a broom and an electric sander we made short work of our tasks and left the area looking a lot tidier than when we arrived. GREAT WORK TEAM!!
Some of us then headed into the evening for a magical mystery exploration of Oxford's footpaths and nature reserves.
Welcome to Goodgym Maruf, we hope to see you again soon!

This evening we returned to the Warneford Hospital site to flashmob some of their flower beds.
The flower beds in the aptly named Meadow ward had got quite over-grown and needed a good weed, a food water and some general TLC.
After crowning Ellie for achieving her 100th Good deed and enjoying some Celebrations, we set to work.
Thistles, lots of grass and some pesky dandelions were removed, a wild patch preserved to protect a hedgehog house, and the best Celebration thoroughly debated. I'm team Bounty - possibly in the 1% minority of the population!
Watering cans were emptied and woodchip spread to hopefully ensure that the beds stay happy!
Good work team.
Double points if you can name the musical reference in the title.....,

Seven Goodgymers helped with various jobs around Kate's Place in Florence Park. We moved some wood to make a "dead hedge" habitat, lifted some turf to plant some seeds, and weeded around trees. The main task however was transporting many many watering cans (and even a flexi trug bucket) full of water from the tap at Flo's cafe over to the trees and hedges that needed it after the dry spell we have had. Of course, at the end of our session it began to rain!
