The sun came out for some of GoodGym’s finest who heroically volunteered at super short notice to shift two tonnes of soil… that turned out to be ten tonnes…. Whoops. Despite major miscalculations ALL the soil got shovelled into the RWA’s new planters, led expertly by Planty Jane who let us know when to add the ‘sprinkly stuff’ into the mix. Six filled planters later and all the soil bags emptied, even the stacked up high ones, and we called it a very successful night. Looking forward to welcoming you all back to RWA to visit soon! No hard labour involved, promise.
The newly refurbished RWA Gallery is in need of urgent help shifting 2 tonnes of soil into new planters in front of the building, to get them ready for Planty Jane to work her magic the next day.
Last-minute after-work heroes needed! There's a free entrance ticket to our reopening exhibition 'Me, Myself, I: Artists' Self-Portraits' (2 May - 19 June) in it for all who sign up. https://www.rwa.org.uk/products/me-myself-i-artists-self-portraits
Spades provided but please bring your own gloves.
PS the RWA is a charity, I'm not just being cheeky on behalf of my workplace...
