Two Stop Shop 🛒
Ms A needed just a few bits - milk, bananas, tea cakes, custard and the inevitable bottles of water. A short hop to Iceland and to Sainsbury’s later, and all done.

Spruce up Papa's Park Hall

Our hosts Papa's Park who kindly provide us with a base to start our Tuesday Group Runs need our help to spruce the place up a bit.
The task has two parts and if we don't have time to complete it all we can carry on at Tuesday's Group run. ⏱
1) Clean the discoloration from the wall of the hall 2) Do a bit of weeding by the entrance gates
All cleaning materials will be provided for a scrub down and drying up inside the hall as well as gloves for the weeding outside.
Valcie and her team have kindly offered to supply coffee or a hot drink to the volunteers who sign up as well - what more could you want from a task?! ☕
Come down and help us give a bit back to the team at Papa's for their support of GoodGym. ✨

Hanging out at the Ace of Clubs ♣
Tony & I were asked to hang up a few bags of donated clothes ready for sorting either for sale at the ACE shop or for onward gifting to Ace of Clubs clients. Some of the clothes were brand new with their original labels - watch out for February fasionistas in Clapham...👗

Work out at Iceland 🏋🏼♀️
Mr G asked for bags of potatoes, cartons of orange juice and bottles of water so that was my weight training taken care of for today! 💪🏾

Helping with lunch service at a centre for the homeless

Ace of Clubs in Clapham is an amazing place which supports people struggling with homelessness. They offer a hot lunch every day and need some help with the service as well as lots of other jobs so they can keep offering services such as healthcare, clean clothes, vet care and advice.
When you arrive go straight to the front of the queue, go into the centre and ask for Martin.

🍂 Leafing it up 🍃
Adam, Liv, Will and I got stuck into some light gardening to support BIG KID Foundation’s ‘January Jumpstart’ at Dexter's adventure playground. Will already works with Ruth and her team, so it was easy to get cracking with some brand new tools, tidying up the perimeter of the site. As we cleared away leaves, weeds, soil, branches and moss outside, local residents inside the event warmed up with some aerobics before being led through a singing workshop. It was also great to see kids enjoying the playground again.
Having filled more than 20 bags with garden waste, it was time for us to leaf*
(Leaf. Leave. No? 😬 )

January Jumpstart @Dexter's!

A general tidy up of the perimeter of Dexter's Adventure playground, home to the BIG KID foundation. Weeding, cutting back, leaf collection, bagging up waste. We are having a community open day on Saturday 15th of January and would like this to add to the activities.
