"The Maverick inov-8 Original East Sussex event is a brand new addition to our 2019 calendar. Here at Maverick Race we are committed to showing you all the best of the UK through trail running and we know that our new event won’t disappoint in taking you on a new adventure.
All three routes take in the famous South Downs way, which inevitably means some rolling hills are instore for all. The route takes in the famous Ditchling Beacon this being the 3rd Highest point in the South downs National park. With Stunning views all the way to London in the north and the coast to your south you will really feel like you are deep in the English countryside.
The trails here consist of Woodland, chalky tracks, and valleys, the route is suitable for all levels of runner and a great event for people looking to transition to trail running.
Our East Sussex event is less than a 1 hour drive or train journey from the City of London, so there is little excuse not to come and explore this brand new venue and Trail running event."
There are 5k, 15k and 23k options with the start and finish line right opposite Falmer Station. Trains run from Victoria if you are coming from London and there's free parking.
Our first 'big six' race of the year was a Maverick event and it was wonderful. Hope to see you there.
This week's group run is partnered with The Great Get Together
The Great Get Together is an initiative founded by the family and friends of Jo Cox who was killed on 16 June 2016, it was created to reject divisive politics and bring our communities together and celebrate all that unites us. This week all of our GoodGym sessions will be partnered with The Great Get Together so that up and down the country we can use our run to celebrate kindness, respect and all we have in common! #moreincommon
Welcome to GoodGym Ealing!
We're a friendly running group who combines exercise with volunteering. We meet every Tuesday at Bodyline Fitness just off Haven Green, we go for a run and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations in our borough.
This week we are working with Ealing Transition Community Garden to help cut back brambles and care for the space that's used for community learning.
All equipment will be provided so just bring yourself and lots of enthusiasm!
We meet at 6.45pm ready to run at 7pm. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is! If you any questions or you're worried about the task or run then just contact me.
This week we have a special picnic after the run, see all the details here
