Assisting the Social Supermarket with Gardening
Welcome to GoodGym Coventry! We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects in our area.
The Task:
We will be supporting the Social supermarket by working in their garden.
The Run/walk:
GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and it is often possible to walk to the task if you would prefer. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is.

The Coventry Haven garden was Save’n
The runners at this task got involved in removing all of the weeds out of the staff garden at Coventry Haven.
The runners also helped to varnish the table and chairs set outside to provide people with a nice place to set.
This task was messier for some than others with a couple of runners accidentally taking some of the paint with them!

The Stoke Aldermoor Social Action Group are trying to improve the local area for the community and encouraging other community groups to get involved.

Canal Litter Pick
Welcome to GoodGym Coventry! We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects in our area.
The Task:
We will litter pick along the paths of the canal. Please bring a pair of gloves with you. We will stay in small groups so no-one is left alone on the canal.
The Run/walk:
GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and it is often possible to walk to the task if you would prefer. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is.
There will be an optional fitness session after the litter pick.
Celtic has done 10 good deeds. They are a trusted GoodGym runner and are now eligible to join their local TaskForce.

A sprouting success
This weeks group run involved assisting Food Union at their Allotment.
The runners enjoyed raking and planting various crops. We were in the hands of experienced hosts who passed on their detailed knowledge.
On the run back, we stopped off to try out the climbing wall on our route.
