Rooftop Runners

Frannie from Octopus Community Network invited the Goodgym Islington crew over to The Brickworks Community Centre in Crouch Hill last week. This is a new task location, and a really exciting project! The plan is to create a new rooftop kitchen garden area for local visitors, along with a connected living learning green space.

Our main objective this time was to "double turn" two large planting bays, cultivating a mix of old, dead soil with fresh manure, ready for new plants to be installed. Area activator Simon and David worked together to shovel the soil, and to evenly spread the new material, swapping roles throughout the task.
