Would you like a sherry?

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Kingston upon Thames.

It was my first social visit to see Miss A and so nice to be greeted with an offer of sherry, even if I did opt for water after my walk-jog up the road to see her.

We chatted alot and it turns out the two generations had a lot in common - she is a local lass like me, her old neighbour is now my neighbour and she used to have a grey horse called Oriel at the stables that used to be next door to her and where I used to ride as a kid.

What a productive lunch hour!

I hope I can visit Miss A again soon.
