When I'm 'painting' windows

Woking GG members gave a helping hand/brush at Brockhill Care home - painting, painting and more painting

What a humid evening that was! Woking town were showing their true colours last night as we set off and left them to continue to drink away their sorrows. We headed to Brockhill Care Home which is based in Goldsworth Park. We enjoyed a gentle run down the canal which needs a good cutting back - maybe that could be a GoodGym task??

We arrived a little sweaty, well some more than others, no names... but Nick's top had changed colour! We split into two teams when we arrived, with myself, Claud , Anne and Monica taking on the reception area and painting the walls in a pale duck egg. Then with Wayne, Helen and Connor taking on the window frames and giving them a new life with some white paint. There was a lot to do but we cracked on in good pace.

Welcoming

Brockhill have always been so welcoming and Heather and Joan a couple of the local residents have always been up for a good chat and have always make sure we are well hydrated.

With a gentle run back along the canal we managed 6km in total. A well done to Wayne who is now back with us and managed to rack up 16km in total last night, running to GG from his house and back. We also welcomed back Helen who has come back from her holiday in America.

Next Week

Extra Hill training
