Five Good Gym runners came together to help Martin Primary School and it’s forest paths. We gathered at Phoenix cinema to have a chat and a warmup outside. It was a beautiful warm summers day, a great day for a nice short run along the High Street to the school. Where we met Simone who had gone directly from home, and John, who had the tools for the job. The school has developed a piece of land adjacent to playing fields, which is an amazing woodland to learn about nature. Full of fruit trees, compostable toilets, mud kitchens, hammocks and best of all a parachute tent nestled among the trees. It makes you want to be a kid again! We set about our work, shovelling woodchip into the wheelbarrows and distributing it along the path and well used spaces. It was wheely good fun! We finished at the school and did some warmup yoga before running back to the Phoenix Cinema.
Thanks for coming running and doing some good!
PS how about signing up for this months, litter pick? Any time anywhere..
