What weed do for a sun tan

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

Alice and I had a great time carefully pulling up weeds from Ms V’s overgrown garden. The sun was out, the roots were deep, but we were determined to clear the garden, continuing the good work of another mission group. Some improvisation required for weeding tools for the both of us, but it turns out a screwdriver makes a great precision root digger. We compared our piles, and who had the biggest tool.

We also discovered that the backs of gardening gloves don’t protect very well against stingy nettles!

Hopefully Ms V will be able to put down paving slabs and access her garden once it is all complete.
