Good afternoon goodgymmers! Today the intrepid James and Mridula (me) wandered over to Ms Y's house to help her clear her garden. We were both a bit lost as to where the exact location was of the building but a lovely gent who saw us wandering around gave us helpful directions to Ms. Y's house. After ringing her doorbell and knocking on her door we gave each other slightly worried looks. But out she came. Poor Ms Y had just had an operation and was a little hard of hearing, so after telling her we were from goodgym, she led us to the back garden.

Her garden was overflowing with weeds, and there were no clear pathways to get to her shed. We helped her across and opened her shed for her, and brought out her tools. She then went back to her house and we got to work. It was a task and half and we knew we had to prioritise as we may not be able to get it done in one mission. We decided that our focus should be to clear pathways so Ms. Y could get safely to and from the garden and then potentially another mission could come over to deweed the rest of the garden! She only had a rake as someone had stolen some of her other tools, and neither of us had bought secateurs (sorry we are not as advanced or professional as Patrick Luong). Instead we decided to rely on our god given (or nature given) brachuims to get rid of the ivy that had crawled across the entire garden. I yanked and James helpfully bagged for me, a task that takes much longer than it looks!

The sun was out and we had a good chat about goodgym and tooling and hobbits (James is from New Zealand, but left because he was too tall and couldn't fit through hobbit doorways.). We were chatting so loudly that a neighbour popped their head out the window and offered us additional tools! We also chatted about James upcoming races, and the fact that he is dogsitting for a couple of weeks (my dream!!!!) James, let me know when you get the dog so I can come and play with the dog, but completely ignore you and your girlfriend. That's just how I roll, and honestly, from the sheer amount of rubbish I talk it will probably be better for you.

Nearly two hours later we were done! Ms Y was chuffed with the job that we had done and definitely wanted more! A lovely lady and if you get a chance to do a mission for please do! And possibly bring your own secateurs! Till next time folks!
