Vic, Pippa and I met up on Saturday to lend Mr B a hand in his garden. It had become a bit overgrown, but we were more than happy to help tackle it, especially as it meant having a go with a hedge trimmer and meeting his rescue dog, Reggie. Vic became particularly adept with the trimmer, which was useful as it was our only way of cutting up the brambles that had taken over. Much of our chat was interspersed with polite cries of "ow" due to said brambles, turns out these are impossible to suppress. I think we're all hoping for thorn-proof gardening gloves next Christmas.

After a couple of hours, we'd made a nice dent in the over-growth and driven all the snails out of hiding. Great to garden with you Vic and Pippa, see you again soon!
