Hackney

Mission

We rose to the occasion and that’s what mattocks!

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

Anna and I had a very early (9:30am) start at Mr B’s home to remove three rose bushes from his back garden.

As well as forks and a spade, he provided us with a mattock which neither of us had ever used before, but it came in very handy to dig deep and hack away at some very thick and stubborn roots.

Mr B plans to give the rose bushes to his neighbour, so we made two Hackney residents happy in one go!
