Holding down the fort for the neon legend that is Cory, was Ellie Wood, borrowed from GG Brent for the next 6 weeks.

After hellos, housekeeping and welcoming of newbies including the coach, the group headed out and towards the task. What better way to spend an absolutely gorgeous spring evening than with GoodGym. Gliding through the streets of central London, as the sun began to set, a little bit smug past the beer drinkers and ice cream eaters!!

Soon enough, we arrived at our hosts, the team greeting us with open arms from their new Rhythms of Life offices on Euston Road. Despite the sensational new postcode and Regents Park View, there is work to be done here, changing from the previous owners Volvo and cleaning up the Car-llosal Mess they left behind!!

Armed with buckets and mops, scrappers and brooms the team set to work. Spurred on by Ellie’s cheese fest music mix, a makeover was the mission on our minds. Starship’s “We built this City” was the anthem of the night with many a power-pose and fist pump to be witnessed in the house. The team power ballarded on and after 45mins of sweeping, washing, bucking filling and some crazy plastic pulling off windows effort (which kind of felt like too much fun to be hard work), the time was up.

With 30mins left, Regents Park was the next stop, a breath of fresh air from the urban jungle of crossings and crazy traffic we had navigated so far. Suddenly surrounded by nature, it felt like a good time to open our lungs and stretch our legs. Moving as a pack the group ran a circuit, gradually speeding up until the silence took hold. Testing the group further still, sprint speed reps were to follow and a couple of cheeky hills finished the session with a pant and a puff. Focussing on recovery the crew headed home, the air alive with talks of London Marathon and the best race bling we’ve ever achieved.

Warm welcomes to new faces, a task to make you sweat, pushing up hills, nature in abundance, sunsets and stretches, that was GoodGym Westminster, wishing you goodnight.
