Because I needed to work this afternoon, I agreed to do Ms M’s shopping this morning (I’ve always gone in the afternoon for her before). I’m glad I had a book in my bag as there was a long queue to get into the shop. But it felt strange reading ‘Watching the English’ whilst people watching!!! Ms M was very pleased that I was able to get everything on her list when I did eventually get into the shop, though.

Sounds like you had the perfect book Steph. Hopefully you didn't have to work your way through too many chapters whilst queuing though. Well done on finding everything on Ms M's list.
