Wasting away

A bumper pack of Goodgymers raring to go, a sunny evening, there was good to be done and muscles to be strengthened....all that was missing was the task! It just goes to show that even the best laid plans are subject to change, as the session that had been in the diary with Gunnersbury park for some weeks was cancelled last minute. Disaster!

Or it would have been if GoodGymers weren't such lovely, enthusiastic and motivated group of people. After a couple of calls to get a new task in coming to nothing, we decided to do a litter pick instead. So, at the last minute we gathered together to do our warm up, grabbed some bin bags and set off for the A4, a notorious litter hot spot.

It took half an hour of intense rubbish collecting to fill our bags with waste, and as usual we were surprised at the things we found - mainly bottles, cans but some unidentifiable objects too!

After disposing of our litter we headed back to Turnham Green for an extended fitness session that focussed on strength, stability and conditioning. There was some great form on display as we worked our way through the likes of single leg squats, walk outs, glute bridges and more.

There was even time at the end of it for an impressively creative photo session - check out the results! And you can totally blame the photographer for the bad angles and wonky shots.
