I arrived at Mr C’s house by car and was a bit flustered because I was a bit late due to heavy traffic. Mr C was so lovely and we ended up having a really long chat, sparked off by the fact he was born in the same area I live now. We spoke about his amazing time as a young man working for the travelling circus as an elephant groomer... what an amazing life! He even showed me a scar on his arm from a tusk! He left the circus because he disagreed with the animal cruelty and started protesting for animal rights instead. I eventually tore myself away from his brilliant stories with his list and the £20 note and ran down to Morrison’s to get his shopping. It was a lovely but quick run downhill to the shops which meant then I was carrying the heavy shopping back up the hill... phew. I dropped off the shopping, had another quick chat and I was on my way. Also I did have my Goodgym T-shirt on but the weird winter-in-April we’re having meant that I had to put a jumper on over it!
