Walking 9k sends the spanner away

A friend who's currently unable to drive (due to an injury) was in an awkward position because his car insisted it needed a service, flashing a picture of an orange spanner at him! I was able to help out; I drove him to the garage in his car, we dropped it off, then had a 9 km walk around the local area together whilst the service was carried out, before driving him back home (without the spanner on display) and being treated to a lovely lunch. Car, owner and chauffeuse all happy!
