UTTERLY NUTTERLY

Wow what a beautiful spring morning to be heading off to the Nuttery with 6 amazing Goodgym Bath Buddies for a short but sweet run out towards Widcombe and the Nuttery at the foot of the skyline for Transition Bath and our lovely host Virginia. Todays task was varied with a selection of Log sawing, weeding around the trees or tackling the nettles near the hedgerow.

We took the canal route out this morning after a quick warm up and intro to the group with a very warm welcome to Aurimas on his first encounter with Goodgym Bath but he soon settled in and made himself at home. We made two little friends on the way along the canal in the form of a Herron and a cute little Duck and we also took advantage of the lovely picnic benches to get some triceps dips going on.

After a 2k run out with the sun now shinning in it`s full glory, we arrived at The Nuttery to be greeted by Virginia who soon had the group organised, Cosmo opted to cut some logs and put them in the wood store and Auri and Rob took on the Stinging sensation of Nettles near the edge of the field and Alexandra Emily and Steph continued with weeding at the foot of the trees.

There were lots of walkers out this morning on the skyline and We even spotted a young Fawn (Steph though it was a rabbit , she really must wear her glasses) Thankfully the Girls soon corrected her. Some great work today in a short space of time from everyone. Emily found Cobb nuts amongst the weeds and the Nettles were a mere challenge for the Guys even though their legs were being stung but Rob assured me they had become immune to the stingers.

We spent an hour on todays task and had 5 minutes to spare for a gathering up of everything and Virginia kindly took our group photo before we made our way back with a 1k back to the leisure centre for a stretch out and a chat about todays Pun and Rob came up trumps with this one with a reminder of the many ways you can get involved with Goodgym.
