Trimmed Broccoli Spears 3 - Waitrose Shelf Layout 0 (after extra time).

Today was only about the Broccoli - specifically Mrs J's repeated request for 3 packets of Waitrose trimmed tender stem broccoli spears (80g, £1 each) - a challenge that has eluded me these past few weeks. After a bit of helpful and positive coaching from Mrs J whilst collecting her list from the doormat, I set off with renewed determination.

Being my second visit in quick succession to the world's politest supermarket this afternoon, the lady at the entrance recognised me and said hello again (I forewarned her I'd be back...), and it was then straight to the salad aisle...and success...a hat trick of broccoli spears.

To be honest the rest of the shop passed in a blur of carrots, benecol and four cheese sauce, but in my euphoric state I somehow managed to find all the other items that Mrs J had on her list and within 25 minutes was back knocking at her door and sharing the news that the mystery of the long lost spears had finally been solved.

(The closed door prevented any outward showing of emotion on either side, but I did breathe a huge sigh of relief from behind my mask...)
