Trim trails

Mrs O had an overgrown acer tree in her back garden that she can no longer trim back - mostly because trimming down the height of it involves balancing on a wall. Something we love to do as part of GoodGym but isn't recommended if you're a bit frailer!

Mrs O was very welcoming telling us all about her life living in different countries of the world. Her daughter was also there and was helping us keep the clippings from blowing away in gale force winds by holding open the bin bag. They were both very impressed with the concept of GoodGym and keeping fit by doing things like this rather than lifting things that don't need lifting!

Once the back garden tree was pruned to Mrs O's satisfaction (making sure it's not growing into the school grounds she backs onto) we tidied up in the front as she had lots of different bushes that had all grown together including an evil hawthorn that required gloves and caution. We both managed to avoid too many thorn cuts but there were a couple of pinches from the pruning shears... and theoretically they were the least dangerous thing. Mrs O called us angels which is appropriate given that we get wings after 100 good deeds :)

Mission accomplished, we both headed on our way with food shopping and relaxing on the menu for this afternoon. Another good deed done.
