Before getting stuck in at Leagrave Park for the community litterpick task, I helped another community initiative to plant some trees at the park. These trees are being planted across the whole of Luton to remember every life lost to covid-19 during the pandemic. There were 40 trees planted at Leagrave Park and I helped to dig holes, plant trees and insert stakes to support the newly planted specimens. I loved helping out and know from speaking to the organiser and park users who past by, how much this means to the local community. Thank you to the Luton Peace Garden initiative for letting me help out.
