On a busy Saturday, 3 goodgymers and 1 guest took 13-16 bags of donations full of clothes, duvet and other soft furnishings from Refugee Action Kingston (RAK) to British Heart Foundation (BHF) in Kingston. My guest and I met up with Laurel at RAK after getting a cage trolley from BHF. Then Kitty, Heidi (RAK manager) and I loaded up the lift with all of the donation bags while Laurel was in it.. Kitty and I met Laurel downstairs and together we all filled the cage trolley with all of the donations before taking them to BHF. Both charities were pleased with offloading and taking the donations :)

Refugee Action Kingston
We are a local and independent charity, providing vital services for refugees and people seeking asylum

Refugee Action Kingston has been supporting refugees and asylum-seekers in and around Kingston-Upon-Thames for over 30 years. Against an increasingly challenging backdrop both in the UK and abroad, we have sought to be a positive source of support for our clients. One that focusses on matching the ambitions of our clients and their needs. We provide our clients with a wide range of support, from initial emergency assistance to long-term integration. Research confirms what we see every day: that language, employment, and housing have the biggest impact on refugee integration.
