Residents and volunteers from The Conservation Volunteers and Goodgym joined forces to dig, shovel, move compost, carry mulch, hammer things, and plant 11 new plum, apple, cherry and pear saplings for a community orchard at Hillgrove, before heading to a second estate location in the afternoon to plant more!

Cooperation Town were also in attendance to talk about setting up local affordable and free food cooperatives, the North Camden Zone organisation offered refreshments and chance to vote on new signage around the estate, and Dr Bike was on hand to doctor some bicycles. A lovely community day!
