Yesterday, everyone I spoke to moaned about the cold. Everyone I spoke to up until GoodGym at 6.30pm that is. Nobody complained last night. Maybe GoodGymers don’t feel the cold? Maybe they don’t feel pain either? Or fear of hills? Or a dread of hard work. Or even my terrible jokes. Nope, I’ve come to the conclusion, after last night, there is nothing that GoodGymers fear… in Lambeth anyway.

Another strong turn out of 40. These big numbers are bloody brilliant. The only downside is that I have to stand on a chair and get a bit shouty. Maybe I’ll get a whistle.

The run was one of are longest with a 2.5 mile climb up Brixton hill to West Norwood. Times ranged between 20 minutes and 35 which meant that 40 of us were nicely spread out as we took the streets. It also meant that John at the Portico Gallery was left speechless as the red T-Shirts continued to trickle through the doors… he literally was speechless, normally he’s very chatty.

So tables were cleaned and put away ready for the Galleries next Community festival and we all headed back. The journey back seeming much quicker thanks to the lovely decline.

Once again, I tried to heard a few non Goodgym Runners back to base... this is getting to be a bit of a habit. If everyone can sign up as members and get their sexy Red T-shirts on, it might save me the reoccurring embarrassment of trying to kidnap the casual jogger.

Another great turn out, another load of lovely brand new faces. Tuesdays are totally the new Fridays.

Next week we are off to Brixton Youth Centre... there will be pain. Sexy pain, but pain.
