🍦 To See You Again

Today was the first time in months that I'd shopped for Ms N. Maybe the first time this year. She said that she'd been away for a month and was now looking forward to her nephew visiting her.

There were more summery items on her shopping list as well as the usuals. The main difficulty was tracking down single pieces of fruit like apples - and Gala apples specifically - as they're usually packaged up in supermarket convenience stores. After walking the length of South Ealing Road three times, I had all but one item on the list. I picked up the Magnum ice creams last of all and jogged back to Ms N's with a shopping bag in each hand.

I handed over the groceries and change, then the phone rang (or so I thought). I left Ms N to go and answer it and as my job was done, I walked out of the building. As I got to the main door, I saw a tall man with 2 suitcases who I guess was Ms N's nephew. I guess that was the door bell, not the phone and Ms N will be a bit confused at why I vanished.
