Tidy! A garden spruce up for the new year.

This afternoon, three runners from GoodGym Cardiff and the Vale, Ellen, Ted and Mike squeezed in one final mission of the year to help Mrs C with some tidying in the garden.

Mrs C’s mobility has declined and is no longer able to keep up the maintenance in the garden as much as she would like, particularly with jobs that requiring bending over.

We got straight to work practising our best squats to help clear up weeds and moss between paving slabs and at the wall edges. We also cleared up the front garden and driveway of moss and leaves, and trimmed an ivy bush back.

After an hour the garden was looking fresher and Mrs C was very pleased with our efforts and grateful for the help we provided. We all wished her a happy new year and left with the warm feeling that we helped another person in the community.
