The holly and the ivy......, although to be honest there was much more ivy than holly, and boy was it full-grown! The ivy was running rampant over Ms K's garden, who no longer has the mobility to be able to tend it herself. We brought her some apple muffins as a treat for World Kindness Day, which she seemed very pleased with. Juli and I set to work pulling out handfuls of ivy and bagging them up for disposal. Some of it was well hidden , and Juli disappeared into the laurel bush several times, trying to get to the root of the problem. We ended up with 4 bags full of ivy, having uncovered several herbaceous plants in the beds, and revealing a hidden wall. We finished off by weeding the pathway and sweeping it clear of the fallen debris from the leylandii, improving access for Ms K who uses a crutch. We made our way in the failing light, pleased with a job well done, and another grateful lady.
