This was a bittersweet run as it was the last LSE summer school run. We had 10 students show up for the final run, with the majority being recurring runners.
As always, we met outside The World Turned Upside Down globe and warmed up. We took the same route as last week where we ran through Waterloo Bridge, then through Southbank to London Bridge. There was no beginner runners in this group, which meant we were able to comfortably pick up the pace. But nothing too crazy, I still wanted everyone together.
Once we reached Strand, I had everyone get together for a group photo. From there we made our way back to LSE, and I let everyone run as fast as they wanted near the end as I know some of the students wanted to try running faster. I took the team through some cool down stretches, then we all went for a drink at the bar nearby before calling it a day.
That's the end of the LSE Summer School Run Club for now, but hopefully we get to do this again next year.
