12 glorious goodgymers REFUSE-D to give up when they rolled up their sleeves, got their hands dirty and speed-cleared the rubbish on the Rye... POW POW!!

So down to business in welcomes and housekeeping, with cheerful hellos and catch ups a plenty. Even though there was much chatter to be done, we could not begin the eve without of course celebrating the fantastic news that our very own ROB AND SARAH got engaged HIP HIP HURRAH!!!!

After the love in we Waste-d no time and adorned our sexy latex gloves ready for the quick dash to the Rye and team 20mins clean up dash. Competition was fierce when I alerted the teams to the fruity prize... now in the past we've had melons and pineapples so what would it be this time around....They'll have to wait and see next week!!

After their swift 20mins in the heat of the games, there was the group gather in to assess the Fruits of their labour.... And I must say, of all the teams, Ally had the best array of novelty captures, including one hula hoop, doggy toys and pack of *chocolate digestives, she really took the biscuit and ended up winning with Coops and Lianne.

Lianne... ahhhh yes, one team mate who seemed to be in her element and loving the task as we couldn't find her at the end and her gallant husband Coops had to go and collect her in!! But even though we just couldn't seem to Catch-her on the RYE I still think she had fun!

So once tasking was complete it was down to the biz of the one mile time trial which my team of amazing athletes tackled like warriors putting in everything they had! with numbers in the range of 6mins storming in for starters and back markers gasping at their PBs under 10min miles. I was delighted that this courageous crew could see what they were actually capable of.

After the one mile there was just enough time for a slow down body weight sesh on the grass, which we achieved in the final glows of the most beautiful and picturesque southwark sunset!!

Our routine took us Back to basics which included spine release rolls, into core hip raises, planks, press ups and held squats to finish. Three rounds down and just about out of puff, it was jog home in cool down style for a last stretch before goodbyes.

Another excellent eve. Fast and fantastic display of fitness and all in the good(gym) name of pucka peckham

See you next time Fit-Fam !!
