The Curious Case of the Jamaican Ginger Cake

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

I lucked out with a gorgeous Saturday morning to head up to Borough and visit Ms A, who was in great spirits! After a quick check-in and helping with a phone top-up, I walked over to Borough to pick up the shopping.

All went smoothly other than the hunt for Ms A's ginger cake which seems not to have made it to the shelves of SE1. After spending far too long in a supermarket far too small, I cut my losses and thought I ought to head back before Ms A would worry I had run off with her carrier bags.

Ms A was really grateful and absolutely hilarious. A lovely Saturday mission and I hope to redeem myself the next time I come across this ginger cake.
