Good morning goodgymmers! Or as they would say in Holland Goedemorgen. Today my favourite dutchman Peter, and I (Mridula) went over to Ms H's house to help her out with the brambles in her garden.

As it turns out this was THE BEST MISSION EVER!! Ms H had kindly bought us some new tools and the best tool of all! ELECTRIC HEDGE CLIPPERS. Having watched the texas chainsaw massacre one too many times, and not really knowing the difference between a chainsaw and hedge clippers, I was super excited to get my hands on this bad boy. However, Peter being the sensible member of the Hackney Council that he is, made me wait and showed me health and safety and how not to cut off my own foot. I'm pleased to say, I didn't do that, but I did accidentally poke him once or twice in his rear end with the clippers. Fortunately the trimmer wasn't on, I'm pretty certain he didn't notice as he cycles a lot and probably has buttocks of steel. I'm pleased to say he left this mission with both buttocks in tact.

Once he had given me the lecture we got to work. It was a glorious and sunny day, and I took the opportunity to catch up with Peter. I hadn't seen him a while, and thanks to the new alert that tells you that someone is doing a mission near you, I managed to catch him before he stops doing missions on a weekend as he has other commitments. We caught up on future happenings and had wonderful chat and before we knew it nearly half the garden was cleared. He told me about his ideas for his Halloween costume for this year, and being the proud owner of both a Penguin and Dinosaur costume, I think he will have some competition. We managed to fill a 3 bags with brambles, and put a big smile on Ms H's face.

It was really lovely feeling like we had achieved something. Though it's far from finished, it made a huge difference to Ms H as she has access to part of her garden now. The fact that I didn't accidentally dismember Peter with the hedge clippers, was just the icing on the cake. Till next time folks!
