After an absence while Sundays were taken up with marathon training I was back at the John Scott centre in Hackney today.

The queue stretched along the side of the building. It was so cold but people waited very patiently, only commenting that they were sorry for me standing outside in the cold for so long! I was glad to be wearing my handknit woollen Christmas jumper under my thermal cycling jacket.

We had people come for boosters, first doses and second doses. When we finally got to the end of the outside queue I stayed on for a bit longer to manage the inside queue while one of our young volunteers had her booster. The handover took longer than expected as the inside queue was a bit more complicated than the last time I was there! Children on one side, adults on the other except for those two adults who are actually behind the man in the hat, we had run out of space for them, got that?

At least it was a chance to thaw out a bit before cycling home!
