I had signed up to set up the course, as I had last week, and Rahul turned up to be one of the tail walkers. The sun beamed down on us in the early morning, as I put out cones and talked to some volunteers who were getting their heads around all of the roles as they plan to start a new parkrun in the East of Birmingham. We were glad of the heat as the customary Perry Hall wind turned up at the start time, making conditions tough for fast times. Why is it never tail wind? Happily, we both got our volunteer roles and our run in to start the weekend well. An extra special well done is due to Rahul who achieved his 25th volunteer day at parkrun last week.
