Today I went to see Mrs D and took a little punnet of cherry tomatoes freshly picked from my garden 🍅. She was so delighted with my little present and she told me she was just thinking that she'd run out of tomatoes... She is so lovely! Her son was also there and we all sat down for a chat. Mrs D told me how they used to have a greenhouse in the back garden and she grew tomatoes in there, cherry tomatoes for herself and larger varieties for her husband. She would put the greener tomatoes on the windowsill to ripen but they kept disappearing... It turned out her son was the little thief, he liked tomatoes too! 😊
