4 Goodgymers helped the Canal and River Trust with their plastic challenge by completing a litter pick along the Coventry canal.

After a quick warm up we headed on our run through Hillfields and along the Foleshill Road to bridge number 3. From there we plogged (well, admittedly there was more walking than jogging as we chatted away) back towards the canal basin.

No particularly interesting finds tonight - just the usual bottles, cans, crisp packets and sweet wrappers. Instead we were kept entertained by Paul's incredible puns(!) and chats about our plans for the Easter holidays.

By the time we got to the canal basin we had collected 4 bags of rubbish and were able to have a quick nose at the set-up for the Pirates of the Canal basin event that is on next week.

After a run back from the canal basin we had time for a fitness session taking on the trusted maze challenge - one person runs around the path of a maze whilst everyone else completes an exercise. Lunges, squats, triceps dips, burpees, press-ups, star jumps - we had a full body workout. Still with some energy left we all finished with a set of sit-ups - there's no stopping some people!
