Mission

Super Sunday!

Definitely an epic Sunday! It started off this morning with a brilliant litter pick and fitness session with Anji.

I then went to complete a Mission to help Mr E. This was an urgent mission as he is terminally ill and wants to enjoy his garden as this will potentially be his last Summer.

The garden was very overgrown with weeds. I used a strimmer to clear the majority of it and I then cleared weeds by hand, as well as tidying up afterwards with a brush and rake.

I absolutely loved being able to help and Mr E was so grateful and happy. He wanted to pay me (I obviously politely declined/explained!) Mr E popped his head out every now and again to see how I was getting on and couldn’t believe the difference.

It was forecast for Thunderstorms this afternoon which I was worried about but thankfully it stayed lovely and sunny.

We both stood for a few minutes at the end just enjoying the garden, the sunshine and listening to the birds which was a lovely moment. He says he’s going to buy a garden seat now so he can enjoy being outside.

This will definitely be one Mission that I’ll never forget.
