Mission

Such A Simple But Lifechanging Task

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.

B, has been out of his home for months due to ill health. The care team tried to get him back home last week but found one of the doors wouldn't open properly because there was a shelf behind it. I was tasked with removing the shelf, which I made light work of. It is amazing sometimes how simple a task can be but how much of a life changing impact it can have on the beneficiary. He gets to come home at last, something which must be a lovely thing. So sad to think that he is all on his own in the world and has no friends or family to help him. What a way to spend the last few years of your life. But he has a lovely care team around him, so that must give him massive comfort and now he can come home.

I remember scheduling this task and thinking how sad. Well done Mat on solving the shelf issue so effortlessly and helping Mr B come home.
