Mission

Square peg in a round hole

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Sheffield.

Mr M had inherited some curtains from his mother, which he wanted to put up in his bedroom to replace the faded ones currently up.

I found myself presented with curtains and hooks that didn't match the round pole and I thought I'd be turning straight back home, having failed in my mission.

However, I took the old curtains and rail down and realised I could thread the new ones directly onto the rail. Once on, we realised they were a good foot longer than the window. I asked Mr M to try then out and if he wanted me to switch them back. He seemed happy enough (even though I think I'd have kept the previous ones!)
