A gargantuan moon out, some proper wintry chill...and 18 women and men that really just get community spirit.

Big welcome for Ana on her first GG task, comfortable with the running and got straight into the job at the school, we hope to see you next week. Also a mention to not one , not two, but three PB heroes at Mile End Parkrun. Hilary, Tim and Brad whooped their previous selves, got to love that. Some healthy competition with a wee sprint finish between the boys.

Random weekly question was "what are you home comforts after a prolonged stint away?" I kicked things off with a dark cup of Barry's Tea. Other answers were a long hot bath, a Greg's pasty, a casserole, chips from the chippy, an eccles cake, a shower (what conditions were you escaping?), english cheese, a onesie (!) and justine's dog.

Once at the school, Caretaker Andy zoomed through about 6 different small jobs, some heavy lifting, some less so. It would have been an intimidating amount of work for a few people. But not for an effervescent eighteen people, roughly 15mins later you sorted it all. With ample time, enough time to play a game of BaskNet Ball...a progressive fusion of sports where no one has a scooby doo what the rules are. Climbing onto opponents back ? Yeah, why not. Great energy though! Reckon there's more scope for some 'play-time' there, Andy seemed well up for it.

We all got back, had a stretch. Got a couple more committed to Parkrun and the task after. Think we are on 4 sign ups at the mo - if you haven't sign up here

Have a sublime end of week and weekend - keep logging those miles, especially Big Half runners - we should probably sort brunch/lunch out for after?

Till Saturday/Wednesday
