Nick & I walked together to meet Mrs. O to help out with her garden. Unfortunately Mrs. O is a little hard of hearing so she didn't hear her doorbell, but luckily her daughter turned up shortly after we did and got us set up with tools and what they wanted done.

Out front our mission was to bring down a tree that was considered an eye sore and to all of our surprise, we managed to uproot it completely! Mrs. O's daughter then asked their kind neighbour for a saw so we could more easily break up the felled tree to put into bags. Then we went out back and tackled some weeds, over grown grass and trimmed back another tree which was becoming a little overbearing in the garden. Much easier job than the front but unfortunately Nick got a bit carried away with the grass cutting and managed to cut one of the two daisies still flowering!

Mrs. O and her daughter also kept us lovely company during all of this, sharing stories of their husband/step dad who used to be in charge of all the gardening necessities. And they were so pleased with the results, especially out front, as it looked as if the tree had never been there!
