Shed got painted, Buddha reacquainted

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Newcastle.

Mrs R has mobility issues and has just moved into a new home. She needed help with a general garden tidy up and painting the shed. Dan and Rachel teamed up and got stuck in straight away after running and cycling 6k and only taking one wrong turn.

We moved a few things around, at Mrs R’s request, and Dan made a new “friend”. He then got straight into painting the shed, under Rachel’s watchful eye of course. Rachel picked up all the crab apples that had fallen and then got stuck into some weeding and digging.

Dan decided that it was a man’s job to mow the grass so Rachel took over painting while Dan made light work of the mowing. Mrs R was delighted with the end result and we were rewarded with tea and biscuits – winning!
