Five GG members met at Woking park to help James who was today's run director at junior parkrun. 72 children took part this morning. James was delighted to use the new megaphone so everyone could hear his welcoming speech.

It was Nadia's first time volunteering at junior parkrun. You would not have known it! She supported the group of children doing the various exercises to warm up before the run. She, then, took her position as a marshal as did Kirstyand Anne.Adam was one to the timekeepers. Unfortunately, the rain appeared half way through the run and Adam's phone did not like it...

As today is the first day of December, Kirstydistributed a red tutu to the GG ladies and a Christmas necklace to the GG gentlemen. The necklaces were children's size, so Kirsty distributed them to the children who led the warm up with Nadia.

Despite the pouring rain, most children finished the 2 kms run the first to cross the finish line did so in 8:04 and the tail walker did it in 25:06.

Because all the volunteers's fluorescent jackets were rather drenched after the heavy rainfall, James, as a true leader, brought home to wash and dry ready for next Sunday.

Have a great running week!
