Morning all,

Pleasure to have a bolstered arsenal yesterday, more good people willing to get stuck in on a dark Wednesday eve. A whooping 16 of you took over the Aquatics centre cafe area, it was a sight to behold.

We went through our normal brief warm up to get us loosened up physically and vocally. But not before I reminded everyone of Parkrun on the March 4th in Mile End. Cheeky 5k effort, see where you're fitness levels are at and then chow down on breakfast, some might say this is the highlight, Tim. Also our social is next week, have a drink or two and get to know the people you run, dig, sweep, rake, paint, plank, weed, clean and lunge with. They're alright I reckon. A few special red laces handed out. Word is - these were painstakingly hand stitched by the great Usain Bolt and given a holy blessing ceremony by the Dalai Lama himself. Wear them with pride. Jo and Violeta were this week's lucky recipients as both brought amigos along.

A massive three new runners yesterday in Brad, Prakash and Ramon. Wicked having you...and hope to get you along for more mud sweat and cheers. You guys seemed to cruise the run section, starting from a strong base bodes well.

Two groups headed off into the night, with the whippets off first, a chilled and solid back group gave chase. More laying of hoggin ie. shovelling, wheel barrowing and raking. By the time I had arrived you guys already had a train of industry in motion. The back group filled the empty working positions...and for 25mins you guys steamed away. Having 16 people made a visible difference, the rate at which things were being done was magnificent, best since I started last year - we're only growing bigger too. "Many hands make light work" - eh?

Reckon we may have one more gravel laying task at Boleyn rd, but looks like you guys have definitely done the bulk. What a blimming transformation.

Top notch stuff yesterday, onwards to next week we roll. Painting the local community bike workshop...numbers will make a big difference on this one - bring everyone!

Happy training all, until next week.
