I enjoy visits to Ms L, it is like visiting an old friend. She makes us a cuppa and we have a chat before getting on with sorting things from her old flat. She is unable to do this herself as her manual dexterity is very limited due to Motor Neurone Disease. Today we went through a couple of boxes which seemed to be full of old receipts - in the main things she’d kept as she kept due to her power of attorney on her mother’s finances - we decided that there was no need to keep receipts from 2010 for lipstick for her Mum.

At the bottom of the box was Ms L’s old makeup bag which brought back happy memories, tinged with sadness that she cannot use any more,
