Had a great time supporting the Merton Friends of the Earth Repair Cafe, assisting with setup and various tasks to ensure the event ran smoothly. It was a brilliant success, with several items including a clock, trousers, and a jacket; successfully repaired and given a new lease on life.

Merton Friends of the EarthWe’re a community group made up of volunteers in Merton working towards a greener, fairer planet, from local to global.
As a Friends of the Earth local group, we strive to protect the natural world and the wellbeing of everyone in it. We collaborate with other groups in the London Borough of Merton and beyond for a clean, green neighbourhood, and we also support Friends of the Earth’s national and international campaigns. From organising tree planting events to lobbying our local councillors and MPs, we campaign and develop projects on a range of issues to help tackle the climate and ecological crisis

This Repair cafe is new and they are planning monthly sessions. The next date is 30th May, just firming up how GoodGym can support (probably with setting up) - I will be sure to send you the details
