Sheila joined in at Nature's Haven, keen to finish the job we started a week ago. Our task was to secure a metal arch in place - we had already dug the hole ready and levelled it up. We built a former around each base, and packed them with earth behind. Then it was the scary bit, pouring in the water followed by the post-crete. We quickly made sure the arch was vertical and held it in place while the concrete set (and crossed our fingers!). We were pleased with our work and celebrated with a cup of tea and a cake (and a look at some Amy Lovell special paintings on the Arts Trail)
